Manchester United are said to have reached an agreement with Lille for the transfer of Leny Yoro. This news can be called quite surprising considering the player has been mentioned several times wanting to continue his career with Real Madrid.
According to a report from Sky Sports, the agreement reached by the two clubs is said to be worth 50 million Euros (880 billion Rupiah). Several aspects can be said to make this news surprising. Currently there is also no certainty regarding the player’s decision, regarding whether he will accept the offer or not.
Manchester United have been repeatedly mentioned as not having a large budget in the ongoing transfer market. The club’s financial condition means they have to release several players first before they can spend big to bring in stars.
In addition, Leny Yoro has also been mentioned several times as having the desire to continue his career with Real Madrid. However, the offer submitted by Los Blancos is claimed to be worth less than what MU has given. This situation makes Lille management try to convince the player.
Man United are indeed looking to strengthen their back line in the long term. The Old Trafford club has reportedly made offers to Everton for Jarrad Branthwaite and Bayern Munich for Matthijs de Ligt.
With their offer having been accepted by Lille, they now just need to agree a contract and undergo a medical if Leny Yoro decides to continue his career in the Premier League.
