A rumor was recently shared that DC Studios wants Jason Momoa in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and now a new report claims that a Lobo-centric movie is in development.
Among DC Studios’ plans would be to produce a film Lobo.
Jason Momoa doesn’t want to leave the DC Universe
According to MyTimetoShineHelloa James Gunn DCU film centered on Lobo is in development. While the insider doesn’t clarify whether the character will be played by Momoa, it’s hard to think of a different actor for the role, especially after the various rumors linking the Lobo star to the role. Aquaman with this character of DCIn fact, another report was recently shared that claimed that Momoa could appear in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and it was said that it sounds like the actor would play Lobo.
During an interview in December 2023, Momoa offered some rather interesting statements about Lobo.
“Wolf was… I collect comics and I don’t do it as much anymore, but he was always my favorite and I always wanted to play him because I was like, ‘Hello? That’s the perfect role. ’ Listen up. If they call me and ask me to play him, no problem. I haven’t gotten that call, so I don’t want to spread any fake news, but if they ever call me and ask me to play him or audition, I’ll be there.”
Momoa also said that he thought that Zack Snyder I wanted it for Lobo in the DCEU.
“They called me into the office and they were like, ‘Well, do you know who you’re going to play? ’ I was like, ‘Yeah, Lobo! Absolutely. He’s the only one who can fight Batman and Superman. ’ (Director Zack Snyder) was like, ‘What? Lobo? No, he’s not in this universe. ’ I was like, ‘What? Who the hell am I supposed to play? ’ And then I wish he would have recorded it, because he’s like ‘Aquaman. ’ And I was like (disappointed face).”
With so many reports saying that Momoa will be playing this character, many are already assuming that it’s just a matter of time before it’s announced. However, until it’s official, for now we should take all this as a rumor.
