All about Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence could be the future of mixed reality gaming. Meta (owner of Facebook and Instagram) is reportedly planning to use AI to create new gameplay experiences, creating games that follow undefined paths.

The project would be part of the company’s efforts to revive the metaverse. Meta also aims to build, through partnerships with creators and vendors, AI-powered generative tools that can “improve workflow and time to market” for games.
The initial focus will be on the Horizon series of video games. However, the company may expand the initiative to other games and even to platforms that are not part of the Meta universe.
The information comes from TechCrunch, which cites a publication (see here) from the company with job openings on LinkedIn. In the post, Meta states that “this is an incipient area, but it has the potential to create new experiences that are not even possible to exist today”.
The company also highlights that “innovation in this space could have a dramatic effect on the ecosystem, as it should increase efficiency and allow for considerably more content to be created.” Meta has not officially commented on the matter.

Metaverse hasn’t taken off yet
The metaverse is an immersive and interactive virtual reality. In this space, people are represented by an avatar to live in the virtual environment in a hyper-realistic way. The technology was a bet by Mark Zuckerberg, but so far it has not had the expected effects. On the contrary, Metaverse has accumulated billions in losses and is still looking for alternatives to avoid abandoning the metaverse. And now, it hopes that artificial intelligence can save the company’s investments.
