The attacker was also a guest of Caritas. The details
Terracina, 3 July 2024 – The police officers of the Terracina police station reported an Italian man at liberty, guest of the Caritas of Terracina, responsible for injuries to another guest of the same facility.
The officers intervened at the centre following a report from the operations room and upon arriving on site they found that one of the guests, for trivial reasons, had physically assaulted another individual staying at the facility and who was carrying out the duties of a guard there.
In particular, the attacked person allegedly went to the attacker’s room and, after having pointed out to him the failure to respect the rules of coexistence of the center, was attacked from behind and thrown to the floor in the corridor. The violent conduct caused the man to fracture his malleolus and break four ribs and therefore he was rescued and taken to the hospital by 118, where he was given a 30-day prognosis.
The officers immediately acquired the images from the video surveillance cameras, in which the aggressive conduct was partially filmed and, in light of the checks carried out, they identified the person responsible and reported him to the judicial authorities for the crime of injury.
For the sake of accuracy, and to protect those under investigation, we remind you that an accusation is not equivalent to a conviction, that evidence is gathered in court and that the Italian judicial system provides for three levels of judgment.
