Manchester United have finally reached an agreement with Newcastle for the arrival of Dan Ashworth. The deal was reached after months of lengthy negotiations.
“Newcastle and United have reached an agreement for the transfer of Dan Ashworth who will leave his contractual obligations. The terms of the agreement are confidential between the two clubs,” said a statement issued simultaneously by both clubs.
Manchester United have been trying to sign Dan Ashworth for months, with negotiations being drawn out over the compensation Newcastle would have to pay to release him from his contract at St. James’ Park.
The Old Trafford-based club is also planning to appoint former Chelsea Director Christopher Vivell as part of the management restructuring process that has been underway since Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS Group joined Man United.
