After what they have achieved for at least the last 3 generations, it seems safe to give the title of “king of single-player games” to Sony and Playstation. Although most of the successful series are sequels or spin-offs of previously existing names, gamers can still enjoy some original titles that have managed to capture attention and popularity just as much. We are talking about Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch, Horizon Zero Dawn from Guerrilla Games, and also the most exciting zombie game with horde combat – Days Gone from Bend Studio. But unfortunately for the latter name, it comes with disappointing news for fans.
After various rumors and speculation had emerged, especially being “compounded” by information and comments from former Bend Studio members in the past, the studio had to provide clear clarification regarding the existence of the sequel series – Days Gone. Kevin McAllister – Bend Studio’s Community Manager emphasized that what Bend Studio is currently working on is a new IP, an original title, and not Days Gone 2. He apologized to the community which, he hopes, continues to be fed wrong information by people who only pursue popularity on the internet. He also admitted that some of the information came from former developers.
I apologize to our Days Gone community for continuously getting fed false hope and poor information by people looking for likes. It’s not fair to you all.
We are currently working on a new IP, and when we have actual news to share it will come from our studio.

Unfortunately, Bend Studio itself has not spoken about what kind of game they will work on next. How about you? Happy or sad about this news?
