Since its premiere in 2022, the series created by Christopher Storer has not stopped achieving success. The story revolves around Carmy Berzatto, a young chef who must return to Chicago to take over a family Italian meat sandwich shop, after the sudden death of his brother. Unfortunately, his culinary training creates a barrier that prevents him from maintaining control and generates many disagreements with employees. Thanks to the receptiveness of the audience, The Bear boasts three seasons with a score of over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.
A series that exceeds expectations
Few know that The Bear is inspired by a real restaurant, perhaps this is what makes it so special. During season 1 we were hooked on a story that moves between drama and comedy, where each episode ends in total satisfaction. The way of presenting the experiences of this haute cuisine professional earned him a perfect score of 100% for the first installment.
Against the odds and some speculation, season 2 repeated the feat, unfortunately, a bad review prevented it from maintaining the percentage and today it almost reaches perfection with 99%.
Thanks to the way it maintains the same level of narrative complexity and character growth, the third season of The Bear has a score of 93% and is just as chaotic and inspiring as its predecessors, allowing it to keep the audience retained within their particular fiction.
Quality is maintained
While the third season has failed to match the results of the first two seasons, The Bear remains one of the most acclaimed television shows currently on the air. This means that, although it has the lowest rating percentage of the series, it is still an excellent score.
We are talking about an equally strong season, which demonstrates its superiority in the genre and the way in which it exploits a formula perfectly based on the use of comic and dramatic elements, in equal parts.
Why did the first two seasons of The Bear achieve perfect scores?
Boasting a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes is no easy feat, and The Bear has already achieved it twice. Part of the reason is that the series swept the Emmys in its debut, taking home the award for Best Comedy Series, and also because of the outstanding performances by Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Ayo Edebiri, who shine as Carmy Berzatto, Richard “Richie” Jerimovich, and Sydney Adamu, respectively.
The transformation of the sandwich shop into a fine dining restaurant in season 2 reinvented the series and changed its scope. Without losing the original essence, the new episodes served to see the characters grow, providing a very rewarding experience.
The success continues
Over the course of three seasons, this culinary drama has been an award-winning series, not for nothing, it is one of the best series to watch on Disney+ and has already been renewed for a fourth season. The standards of excellence established have been maintained and while the third season does not enjoy a perfect score, the reviews are surprisingly positive, both in terms of the exploration of the plot, and the continued development that the characters have experienced.
In this sense, despite not matching excellence, the third season maintains The Bear as a compelling and overwhelmingly well-executed show. With a plot centered on Carmy’s efforts to make the restaurant stand out against the intense competition that prevails in the city, we will see the team try to match his intensity and achieve culinary excellence.
In short, the score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes speaks highly of season 3 of The Bear. Considering the reputation of this platform and the criteria used to calculate the percentage, we can speculate about the quality level of the program. In this way, although it does not achieve the perfect score of 100% of the first season, nor 99% of the second, the third installment boasts many positive reviews, despite having faced greater challenges, compared to those of its predecessors. .
