Collin Veijer has been living and training in Barcelona for some time, but the support from “his” Staphorst remains great. “There is a lot of life here,” says Evert Slager. “Staphorst is of course a motorcycle-crazy village. Just look at the motorcycle club AMBC, which has about 1,200 members. There are busloads going to Assen this weekend, and also a lot of people with their own transport. They all gather there the bump, that’s a bend on the track.”
