Budget change approved: extraordinary maintenance interventions planned. The details
Fiumicino, 26 June 2024 – The Municipality of Fiumicino has approved the budget change necessary for the allocation of the allocated funds to the extraordinary maintenance intervention, plant adaptation and improvement of accessibility and use of the Saxophone Museum.
“The Administration of Fiumicino participated in the tender with a positive outcome, achieving considerable success and we are proud to be able to start this project on which we have worked throughout the first year of our mandate. An initiative will not only improve the accessibility and use of the Saxophone Museum, but will also contribute to the valorization of our cultural heritage,” declared the councilor for public works, Giovanna Onorati. “An important step forward for our city that will make the museum more welcoming and safe for all visitors.. The resolution, presented in the commission, will be evaluated during the next City Council meeting scheduled for June 28, 2024.”
The intervention, for a total cost of €236,590.00, is was included in the Public Notice for the valorization of the Cultural Places of Lazio which allowed the presentation of financing requests for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance interventions, improvement of accessibility for people with disabilities, setting up of exhibition spaces, development of digital technologies for cultural enjoyment and installation of video surveillance, anti-intrusion and fire prevention systems. The Lazio Region has approved the ranking of admitted projects including the works for the Saxophone Museum” with a contribution of €189,272.00, equal to 80% of the total cost.
