Michele Pirro’s words after Race 2 at Mugello

For Michele Pirro it was anything but an easy race. After yesterday’s crash at Savelli his shoulder came out and he thought he had broken his femur, but he didn’t give up and managed to win Race 2, maintaining his championship lead.

“It was difficult”
Michele, after yesterday’s bad luck you returned to winning…
“I’ve had about ten difficult days, yesterday the world collapsed on me when I fell unexpectedly. It was difficult and I didn’t feel like I had done anything special and then I found myself on the ground. My shoulder came out and I thought I having broken my femur since I couldn’t lift my leg, instead it was just a pulled back muscle. Today I did one of the most difficult races of my life, after a few laps I realized that something was wrong, I tried to manage my strength. After a difficult night I am really proud of the team and what we did today.”
How are you?
“I’m like someone who tumbled for a long time yesterday and his shoulder came out. It’s the life of a pilot, I’ve been doing it for 25 years and it’s like this.”
Are you starting to think about what could be your tenth title?
“I’ve been feeling this tenth thing for a couple of years now, I have to move forward race by race. I suffer a lot from falls and suffering, when I was twenty it was different…”
