The arrival of Ke Huy Quan to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was a real joy for everyone. The Vietnamese-American actor once again won the public's affection thanks to his performance in Everything Everywhere at the Same Time, and his time in the studio has been, for now, short but fun.
Many related his character Ouroboros to Data, the character of Los Goonies and the most emblematic of the actor, since both are handymen who use tools of all kinds to get their way. In an interview with the American media Entertainment Weekly, the actor revealed that, for him, this AVT employee is, basically, a variant of Data in the multiverse.
“I realized that Ouroboros is a variant of Data. I had to go back in time to 1985, when I was a little kid, and try to remember how I approached that character and his energy.”
The theatrical aspect was not the only thing Quan copied from the unforgettable Data; Also his clothes, marked by a very unique jumpsuit full of patches, would make him unique in the Temporary Variation Authorityone of Marvel's most important places in recent years.
So far, Quan has had a supporting appearance in Marvel Studios through Loki, but he himself has recently commented that he would love to return to the UCM in the future to continue playing this curious and interesting multiversal character.
