The Rapid Intervention Vehicle – the Audi – is equipped with all kinds of systems that help officers catch criminals. “This way, just like in all other police cars, we can search for license plates in the system. Then we see who the owner of the vehicle is, whether that person has come into contact with us before and whether the car is interesting for a check. There are also special ANPR cameras (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) that scan license plates and automatically send a signal as soon as a car needs to be checked.”
