A fan art has made the fusion of Robert Downey Jr. with the character of Doctor Doom become a reality. The figure that has been baptized as Iron-Doom presents what is supposed to be an intriguing possibility for everything that Marvel Studios has been doing in the films that make up the MCU. This hypothetical transformation would not only have a significant impact on the MCU, but would also make narrative sense due to some stories that have been created in the Marvel comics.

After the exciting outcome of Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios was left without some of the most important pillars that have supported the franchise for years. Introducing someone like Iron-Doom could revitalize the very questionable proposals that Marvel Studios has been making since its conclusion. The main point is that this fusion between Tony Stark and Victor Von Doom would bring a mix of advanced technology and dark magic, which would completely change everything we know about the personality of Robert Downey Jr.'s character.
At first, Iron-Doom could represent an internal conflict between the heroic ideals of Tony Stark and the excessive ambition of someone like Doctor Doom. This curious duality could be explored through story arcs where Iron-Doom seeks redemption while battling his own inner demons. In this sense, now that the Fantastic Four will begin to be part of the MCU, it makes much more sense to show something of this style. On the one hand, the studio led by Kevin Feige would accommodate some of Marvel's most powerful villains while, on the other, they fulfill the wishes of many viewers by bringing back Robert Downey Jr. again.
One of the main fears of Marvel Studios viewers is that the long-rumored return of Robert Downey Jr. could somehow harm his epic sacrifice in Endgame. However, introducing an alternate version of him who would be a villain would nip this problem in the bud while at the same time introducing a revamped version of the actor never seen before.
In the Marvel comics as Infamous Iron Man, Victor Von Doom takes on the mantle of Iron Man after the tragic events of Civil War II, in which Tony Stark was left in a coma. Doctor Doom, in his quest for redemption, attempts to use Tony Stark's technology and legacy to become a true hero.
In any case, Robert Downey Jr.'s transformation into Iron-Doom would not only be a spectacular event for Marvel Studios, but it would also open the door to deep explorations of Tony Stark's sense of identity. Although the idea may seem ambitious, it has its roots in already published comics, providing a solid foundation to develop a complex story in the MCU.
