“The Arabs will not stay in Gaza. Point. This time it's over. The next step is for the Jews to go there.” The speaker is Daniela Weiss, 78 years old, considered the “godmother of the Israeli settlers”, as well as a friend of Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, leader of the far-right Otzma Yehudit party.
Weiss was interviewed by Italian journalist Francesca Mannocchi in the Israeli settler settlement in Kedumim, in the northern Bank of Jordan. The interview aired during yesterday's episode of the TV program Propaganda Livethen La7.
“Where do you think the Palestinians should go?” Mannocchi asks her. And the woman replies: “In Egypt, in Turkey, in Germany, in Canada, in the United States… In all the countries of the world. There are refugees from Syria, from Ukraine, from Afghanistan. And there will be refugees from Gaza.”
The journalist then presses her: “Why can't the Palestinians live in their land?”. But Weiss is adamant: “It's not their land,” she replies.

The woman leads the movement of Orthodox settlements from the heart of the West Bank and, after the Hamas massacres of 7 October, she became the promoter of the resettlement of Gaza by Israel.
“We will build Jewish communities in Gaza,” she is sure. “The justice of the world is first and foremost to let us return to the city of Gaza. This is justice.”
Indeed, the woman imagines what the city will be like once it returns to Israeli hands: the city, she underlines, is “much more beautiful than the Côte d'Azur”. And she fantasizes about “nice neighborhoods, tourists, attractions.” “I have a clear, specific, clear plan,” she explains: “Take the Strip, divide it into lots and give it to the soldiers who fought in the war, to the wounded, to their families and allow them to build their homes.”
“We will continue to educate young people with the dream of Gaza, with the idea of living there,” concludes Weiss. “Step by step, we are doing it. It will arrive, much sooner than most people think.”
