Luciano Spalletti has issued the invitations for the meeting in Coverciano. An enlarged Italy, with 30 players on the list, will become 26 a week before the debut at Euro 2024. The Azzurri's coach has called Provedel as the fourth goalkeeper, preferred to the new European Champion with Atalanta, Carnesecchi. The presence of Nicolò Fagioli, who has served his disqualification, has been confirmed. However, he is unlikely to be part of the final squad. Among the names there is also that of Samuele Ricci of Torino as well as Folorunsho of Verona. In attack, Matteo Politano was heavily excluded, the former Napoli coach preferred Riccardo Orsolini. Also excluded are Locatelli and Immobile.
The next steps
The call is for Friday 31 May in Coverciano. It will start with Spalletti's press conference and then in the afternoon we will start with the preparation for Euro 2024. A friendly match against Turkey in Bologna is scheduled for Tuesday 4 June.
On June 6, the Azzurri's coach will announce the 26 players who will leave for Germany for Euro 2024. The team will meet again the following day in Coverciano, on June 8 there will be space for official photos and the following day a friendly match in Empoli against Bosnia-Herzegovina . Departure for the venue chosen for Euro 2024 on German soil is scheduled for 10 June.

The debut at Euro 2024 is scheduled for Saturday 15 June in Dortmund against Albania, the second match is scheduled for Thursday 20 June in Gelsenkirchen against Spain and finally on Monday 24 June the Azzurri will play in Leipzig against Croatia.
