Cocaine, heroin and dirty money at home: arrested in Civitavecchia

Rome, 17 May 2024 – In recent days, the agents of the State Police of the Civitavecchia Commissariat, as part of targeted and continuous services aimed at combating drug dealing, they arrested a 50-year-old woman and a 60-year-old manboth Italian, because they were seriously suspected of detention for the purpose of dealing drugs.

The arrests were carried out at the end of two separate operations conducted by officers of the Judicial Police team of the Viale della Vittoria Police Station last weekend.

On the afternoon of May 9, during these services, the investigators subjected the 50-year-old Italian national to a check and, noting the woman's unjustified nervousness, extended the check operations to include to the home of the same finding 6,63 gr. of cocaine, a wrapper with approximately 25 gr. of heroin and 161 gr. of hashish. During the search, a precision scale was found and seized, material useful for packaging the narcotic in doses and the sum of 7,400.00 euros in cash divided into banknotes of different denominations. Therefore, the woman was arrested because she was seriously suspected of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs.

A similar inspection service was carried out on Saturday afternoon and resulted in to the arrest of a 60-year-old Italian man found in possession of over 1 kg. of hashish and 100 gr. of cocaine hidden inside the vehicle in which the man was travelling.
The Judicial Authority, at the request of the local Prosecutor's Office, subsequently validated both arrests.
