The protagonist of the trilogy Guardians of the GalaxyChris Pratt offers new updates on his possible return as Star-Lord in the MCU
The star of the trilogy Guardians of the GalaxyChris Pratt, ofrece new updates on his possible return as Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and whether he sees himself joining James Gunn's DC Universe. Phase 5 marked the end of an era for one of the MCU's most beloved franchises when the Marvel trilogy was finally completed. Guardians of the Galaxy. Like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 marked the conclusion for Gunn in the MCU, some of its actors are far from finished with Marvel Studios.
In a new interview with ComicBook, Pratt was asked if he thinks he'll return as Star-Lord in the MCU or if he could jump to Gunn's DC Universe. In a fun twist, Pratt seems to be able to be a part of both worlds, as he shared the following:
“Well, it probably makes more sense for him to be Star Lord again. But anything is possible, and especially with James in DC. Maybe there's something right there. Maybe both. How about both? Let's do both. “I think it’s 100% both.”
As Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 Have you already set up Chris Pratt's next MCU project?
The end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 saw the team undergo a significant restructuring; As other members split up, others took their place as part of a new generation. One of the founding members to come off the ship was Star-Lord, as Peter Quill seeks to build a life on Earth. However, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 made it clear that his story has no end, with the post-credits scene teasing: “The legendary Star-Lord will return.”
While the story could go in several directions, The Legendary Star-Lord seems like a natural movie or TV show for Pratt to appear next. The title, which is based directly on the comic book series of the same name, indicates that whatever his future holds, Peter could focus on being a superhero of his own. It would also be really intriguing to explore Star-Lord having to operate alone instead of having a team, as has been the case for the last few years of his life.
The most important question is where a hypothetical project would land. The Legendary Star-Lord in the current MCU release schedule. Since The Multiverse Saga has been dealing with a lot of shakeups, it wouldn't be surprising if Star-Lord's solo movie or series doesn't happen until Phase 7 at the earliest. But for now, the world will have to wait and see what's next for Star-Lord in the larger MCU.
