To organize events and evenings with friends, here comes a new WhatsApp function, which will make the job simpler and more immediate.
It's finally here! There new WhatsApp feature long awaited by all users is finally available: events. From today, organize birthday dinnerswork meetings or any other type of appointment within groups will be even simpler and more practical.
Creating an event is really easy: just do it open the group where you want to organize it and click on the calendar icon. At that point, you will be able to choose the date, time, title and description of the event.
Once created, all members of the group will be notified and will be able to confirm their presence or explain the reason for their absence. Additionally, each event will have a dedicated chat where participants will be able to exchange messages and information relating to the appointment.
Why use the new WhatsApp feature?
This new feature introduced on WhatsApp is perfect for simplifying the lives of all those who use groups for organize events and appointments. Thanks to this new feature, it will be possible:
- Plan events quickly and easily.
- Keep track of who will and will not attend.
- Communicate with all participants efficiently.

But when will the new Instant Messenger events feature be available? Currently, it is only available in groups that belong to one Community. In the coming months, however, it will be released to all groups of the messaging app.
Together with answers on the message boards, WhatsApp's new events feature represents a further step towards improving the functioning of groups. With these new features, Meta wants to transform Instant Messenger into the ideal tool for stay in touch with friendsfamily and colleagues and to better organize their lives.
