Federico Marretta, known as Marret, is now an old acquaintance here at Moto.it as well as for many of our readers. We met and interviewed him on various occasions both at EICMA and at MBE because, after his career as a professional volleyball player, he started traveling (more, much more) by motorbike and with his friendliness he became a pleasant storyteller. So we are pleased to share the news that next Tuesday 7 May he will be a guest at Ciapa La Moto, now a point of reference for all Milanese motorcyclists who love to meet up and tell each other some good stories. Right here we met Peter Hickman a few weeks ago.
On Tuesday evening, starting at 8.00 pm, at Ciapa the Moto Federico Marretta – still recovering from a fracture – will talk about his most famous journey, called Long Way East and which has also become a video reportage available on various streaming platforms. A journey of twenty-six thousand kilometers alone on the KTM 1290 from Reggio Emilia to Mongolia, passing through Greece, Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. A 100-day journey full of emotions, tough and compelling. Federico will personally tell anecdotes and curiosities, answer all questions and also show unpublished videos.
The documentary film covers various themes such as: solo motorbike travel, the theme of the “foreigner” and hospitality, the condition of women in countries like Iran and volleyball as a means of union and inclusion. In short, there are all the ingredients for a beautiful evening. Appointment in via Gardone 22 in Milan.
