If you quite enjoy games made by Japanese developers, then you will likely be familiar with the name developer Level-5. As far as the eye can see, this developer is famous for cool games with a strong anime flavor, where the story and gameplay are built on visualization full of bright colors. We're talking about games like Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, and Yo-kai Watch which in fact can be enjoyed by almost all age groups. But who would have thought that in the midst of this situation, the CEO would actually have the opposite ambition.
In his latest interview, Level-5 CEO – Akihiro Hino came up with a surprising confession. He said that if it had to be explained in an extreme way, he had always had the ambition to create games with erotic and violent content with an 18+ rating. However, Level-5's current situation does not allow this, where it has the responsibility to continue the existing series while developing the latest IP in collaboration with other parties.
Hino even said that inside him there was an “Abnormal World” full of crazy ideas which, unfortunately, he was afraid to “visit” and he preferred to explore ideas from the clean part of his mind. But Hino remained hopeful that at some point in the future, when Level-5 had stabilized, that opportunity would arrive.
