In terms of electronics, the main innovation on the 2023 Triumph Street Triple R and RS is the presence of the inertial platform, thanks to which ABS, traction control and wheelie control act according to more accurate logic.
The ABS has two operating modes, one dedicated to the road and one to the track, the first of which involves automatic engagement of the rear system when the front is activated (the vice versa does not happen). The traction control can be adjusted to four levels of intervention (three on the R version) and can be deactivated. Wheelie control intervention is linked to the level of traction control in use.
The response to the throttle control is adjustable on three levels, two “full power” (Road and Sport), characterized by greater responsiveness than in the past, and one (Rain) which reduces the maximum power to 100 HP.
The RS version offers five riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Track, User), one of which is configurable; the R offers four including the configurable one (User). The RS is equipped with a 5″ color TFT display. The data can be viewed through various layouts and the background color and brightness vary automatically depending on the lighting conditions. Legibility is generally good, with the exception of the tachometer.
