G7, Meloni: “On AI we will bring the Holy See's path to leaders”
“IOur commitment to develop governance mechanisms that ensure that artificial intelligence is Human-centered and Human-controlled It is a challenge that none of us can face alone and I believe it is essential to make the most of the ethical and intellectual reflection that is developing in this area. I am thinking, for example, of the path started by the Holy See in 2020 with the 'Rome call for AI ethics', a path that leads to giving concrete application to the concept of 'algorethics', that is, giving ethics to algorithms. The Italian presidency of the G7 intends to enhance this path of the Holy See, to bring it to the attention of the other leaders on the occasion of the G7 summit in Puglia. Thus the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, in a video in which she announces Pope Francis' participation in the work of the G7 leaders from 13 to 15 June in the session dedicated to artificial intelligence.
