With the release of Deadpool and Wolverine, many are expecting the return of stars who have been through the X-Men franchise in recent years. Many dream of the return of Cyclops and others of Storm, but there is one that could be especially interesting due to the relationship he had with one of the protagonists: Jean Grey.
The actress has spoken precisely about this Miss Janssen, who played Phoenix in Bryan Singer's original trilogy. During an interview with the American media Comic Book, the journalist asked her if she would return as Jean Gray in the next installment of Deadpoolto which she responded that she doesn't expect to, but as always, you never know.
“I don't know. I mean, I didn't expect to come back after dying as Jean Grey. I came back as Phoenix in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, and I came back in flashbacks in Wolverine, and then in Days of Future Past. ( “They were) surprises I never expected. And as for Deadpool and Wolverine, I don't know, but you never know.”
Although she indicates that she does not expect to appear, the actress commented this a few months before the film's premiere, so filming is already more than finished. And considering that none of the actors involved can reveal details about the project, the “you never know” could suggest that she actually had a small cameo in the film.
Unfortunately, these and many other unknowns will not be resolved until this summer, specifically July 25, 2024, when Deadpool and Wolverine reach theaters around the world with the clear objective of shaking up the Marvel Cinematic Universe and changing the course of the company.
