“We express satisfaction with the amendment which makes the hiring of healthcare personnel easier. We have always maintained that exceeding spending ceilings is one of the necessary measures to guarantee the sustainability and universality of the National Health Service”. This was declared by the president of Fnopi (National Federation of Orders of Nursing Professions), Barbara Mangiacavalli, commenting on the amendment, signed by the majority forces, to the Pnrr decree, which exceeds the spending limit currently in force for hiring doctors and health professionals and socio-health workers with fixed-term employment contracts or flexible contracts.
“The nursing profession is the one that has the highest number of fixed-term contracts – adds Mangiacavalli – Thanks to this measure it will be possible to experience a lower use of atypical work arrangements, which have not produced any cost containment, and furthermore contribute to reducing waiting lists. For this we thank the Ministry of Health and the parliamentarians who signed the amendment”.
