A chalet caught fire in Wierden last night. This happened on the Vlierdijk, where one chalet completely burned out and two other chalets were damaged. Two people were checked by ambulance personnel, one of the two ultimately had to be taken to hospital. According to bystanders, Ukrainian refugees were being accommodated in the holiday homes. It is not yet clear how the fire could have started.
