New Highway Code: there is a yes from the Chamber
During the television program Porta a Porta, minister Matteo Salvini intervened, also discussing the long-awaited Highway Code. In this article we gave you the news of the approval by the Chamber of Deputies of the bill on the reform of the Highway Code. In all cases the bill must still be approved by the Senate, after this last – and possible – approval it will become effective.
An important step therefore with regards to road safety, also for us two-wheel enthusiasts, given that the highly anticipated motorcyclist-saving guardrails will be implemented. This is not the only news, Minister Salvini explains in the video that users of electric scooters will have the obligation to use a helmet, insure their vehicle (if it is not shared) and the scooters will be equipped with an identification plate. In addition, it pushes for the minimum distance to overtake cyclists and real and above all safe cycle paths.
