Kia unveiled the new four-door compact sedan, the K4, in its global debut at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. The vehicle's lines feature a futuristic design, inspired by Kia's “Opposites United” design philosophy, which is reflected in the “Power to Progress” pillar. The external lines confirm the brand's commitment to designing increasingly stimulating, innovative and aesthetically advanced mobility solutions. It is also equipped with many ADAS systems while from a technical point of view it is available with internal combustion petrol engines, a 2.0 naturally aspirated 147 HP and a 1.6 turbo 190 HP. The sedan debuts first in the United States, in LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo trims.
The Kia K4 is a fastback sedan characterized by a modern and unique design, developed by the Kia team using a mode called “Twist Logic”, which combines square profiles in a seemingly illogical sequence.

Cockpit, what the interior of the K4 is like
The interior of the K4 raises the bar for the entire market segment, with integrated digital instrumentation as standard. Kia's Opposites United design philosophy also informs the K4's cabin. The interior of the K4 clearly separates the space reserved for the driver from that for passengers, with a graphic division distinguishing the two areas.

The K4's sophisticated cabin features a variety of interior lighting options, while the dashboard is dominated by a large central screen and an elegant console that emphasizes the division between the driver's and passenger's spaces. Buttons and controls are kept to a minimum, with essential functions integrated into an elegant design for intuitive interaction.

Heated front seats are standard on K4 GT-Line and later models, while ventilated seats and driver seat memory are optional. The three-spoke sports steering wheel is available exclusively for GT-Line models.
Infotainment and connectivity
The Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system, already present on the EV9 flagship, features a digital display of almost 76 cm (30 inches) and OTA functionality, allowing rapid and precise management of information, with quick commands activated via touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are standard on all K4 models.
The K4 offers Digital Key 2.0 Ultra Wideband, which allows the use of compatible Apple and Samsung smart devices or an NFC-enabled smart card as virtual vehicle keys, which can also be shared via text messages. Digital features and services can be activated via remote updates via the Kia Connect Store, Kia Access app or Kia Owner Portal.
Dashboard with 30-inch digital display
Kia Connect's voice assistant simplifies access to vehicle functions, allowing the driver to activate controls such as climate control and audio by simply saying “Hey Kia”. Kia is further developing the functionality of its assistant, using artificial intelligence to provide information on various topics and interact more conversationally with the driver.
