The popular Iveco Daily van is now also available in the new fully electric version, with the same load capacities as the thermal version and a range of up to 350 km. The e-Daily boasts best-in-class towing capacity (up to 3.5 tonnes) and a payload of up to 4.6 tonnes. Its innovative modular structure allows the vehicle to be configured with one, two or three batteries, and it is now possible to add a fourth battery, available in the 72C cab models with a wheelbase of 5,100 mm and a GVM of 7.2 tonnes. Furthermore, the option of interchangeable batteries, together with battery swap technology, allows you to add or remove elements from the battery pack.
Iveco eDaily electric van, characteristics
The electric version of the Daily has performance comparable to that of the internal combustion engine version: maximum power of 140 kW (190 HP), maximum torque of 400 Nm and maximum speed of up to 120 km/h. Driveability is improved thanks to the instant torque of the electric motor. If more power is needed, drivers can activate the distinctive eDAILY Hi-Power function for an extra boost.

Optimizing energy use is possible via the Driving Mode Selector, which allows you to choose between maximum performance or minimum energy consumption. The One-Pedal Drive mode facilitates driving and recovers the kinetic energy of the brakes, thus reducing energy consumption and wear of the brake pads.
Battery, autonomy and charging
The 100% electric Iveco eDaily has interesting new features. Thanks to modular battery technology, the fourth 72C option has been introduced, offering a total capacity of 148 kWh and a range of 240 km for the cab variants with a wheelbase of 5.10 meters and GVM of 7.2 t.
These versions support DC fast charging up to 115 kW and can recharge energy for 100 km in 20 minutes. In AC alternating current the maximum charging power is 11 kW in three-phase current.

The new PTO increases the power output for equipment and setups from 15 kW to 50 kW, allowing greater configuration flexibility. Powering the main batteries allows the use of ePTOs up to 50 kW even when the electric motor is switched off, allowing a wide range of devices to be powered, from customized bodywork to devices essential to the operation of the vehicle.
Interchangeable battery swap batteries
As mentioned, the eDaily batteries are interchangeable thanks to battery swap technology. This modular battery system offers users the choice of three battery sizes: 37, 74 and 111 kWh, ensuring a WLTP range of between 120 and 350 km. A fourth is also available from 2024, available in the 5100 mm 72C chassis cabs. This innovative solution allows users to add or remove items to the modular battery pack at a later time. Replacing the battery pack takes approximately two hours and must be performed at a service center.
The eDaily can be equipped with three different battery sizes: 37, 74 and 111 kWh
This flexibility is particularly advantageous in the commercial context. If a van is used for last-mile deliveries and does not require long range, the smaller battery is sufficient, reducing costs and increasing the maximum payload. If the needs of using the vehicle change and greater autonomy is required, the vehicle can be taken to an Iveco service station to increase the number of cells. Likewise, battery packs can be removed and exchanged between fleet vehicles.
A 37 kW battery pack on the market costs 10 and 15,000 euros, to which labor must be added. The battery pack technology, provided by Microvast, uses nickel-manganese-cobalt lithium-ion cell chemistry, similar to that already found in many modern electric vehicles, but integrated into modular packs that can be inserted and removed from the Iveco chassis.
You can add or remove items to the modular battery pack
Furthermore, the battery pack has a 250,000km, eight-year warranty (160,000km for single battery vehicles), with an 80% performance guarantee, regardless of how often the 80kW DC fast charging is used.
Electric eDaily versions and payload
The vehicle can be driven with a B license in countries that have increased the limit for electric vans to 4,250 kg. The new Daily can be configured by professionals in a wide range of options (vans, semi-glazed, cab, double cab, shielded and minibus), including 6 variants with gross vehicle mass from 3.3 to 7 tonnes, payloads up to 4,700 kg and towing capacity up to 3,500 kg. The van range includes 3 wheelbases, 5 lengths and 3 internal heights, while the basic range for conversions includes 6 wheelbases and body lengths from 3 to 6.2 metres.

There are 9 load compartment volumes from 7.3 to 19.6 m3. Furthermore, the variable section frame makes it a favorite base for bodybuilders, ensuring robustness, heavy load support and long-lasting assembly. When driving, you can count on a turning circle of 10.5 m and an overall load compartment length of over 5.1 m, along with 15 storage compartments, five of which are closed, and over 40 options available.
Onboard technology and ADAS Iveco eDaily
The Air-Pro air suspension with constant damping control offers optimal driving comfort. The dynamic digital display and multimedia screen include functions such as Smart Routing, which provides information on the need for intermediate charging, considering the route and autonomy estimates based on artificial intelligence.

Among the new functions for drivers and fleet managers is eRemote Control, which allows you to manage vehicle settings remotely via the Easy Daily app or the Iveco On portal. Fleet managers can control vehicle functions , such as the Hi-Matic gearbox settings and Eco Mode, to optimize driving economy and check the Adas settings.
Electric eDaily Price
The list price of the electric Iveco eDaily starts from 55,100 euros (excluding VAT and road tax) for the cab version. For the van version, the cost of the eDaily starts from 56,600 euros, again excluding VAT and putting on the road.
