Catapult Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Along the journey, players will encounter various kinds of debris or abandoned weaponry. This makes sense considering that the fantasy world carried by Dragon's Dogma 2 is rich in the deep and complicated history of warring countries.
Some of the weapons left over from the war ended up being just 'decoration', but quite a few turned out to be functional, one of which was the Catapult. Interestingly, recently a surprising discovery emerged that the Catapult in the game by Capcom can actually be used for more than just attacking enemies.
The catapult in Dragon's Dogma 2 turns out to be able to open secret areas
Via X/Twitter, a user with the username @Peppo_LS shared a video showing his character using a large catapult to throw a stone in the game Dragon's Dogma 2.
The rock is thrown over the ravine, collapsing the rock wall on the other side of the ravine and opening up a new area to explore. You can see tweetbelow.
The comments column on the post was filled with enthusiasm and confusion by other players considering that Dragon's Dogma 2 never explicitly said that Catapult could be used.
Apart from that, quite a few people also appreciate the game, citing Capcom's attention to detail in the world it provides.
Not All Catapults Can Be Used to Open Hidden Paths
It should be noted that not all Catapults in Dragon's Dogma 2 can be used to open hidden areas. Not without reason, some of the Catapults in the game are damaged or cannot break down stone walls to open new areas even though they are in working condition.
With a multitude of Catapults spread across the vast world, players have to really work hard to find out which Catapults can be used to open new areas and which ones are useless. Apart from that, players also have to test how effective the Catapult is when used to attack enemies.
