Successfully developing a mysterious universe that has the potential to move in many directions, of course there is curiosity about what Remedy Entertainment wants to do with their CONTROL franchise. The same universe that has been successfully combined with their other popular franchise – Alan Wake in a coherent story that also deserves a thumbs up. With CONTROL 2 also confirmed, Remedy also has another project called Codename CONDOR which will be positioned as a live-service multiplayer game. Now the first details are out.
Will begin development with the Northlight Engine this year, Remedy has prepared a budget of around USD 27 million to complete this CONDOR. You will act as an agent trapped in the Oldest House after the Hiss invasion. As can be predicted, you must work together to survive, fight back, and regain control of this facility. There will be many enemies and challenges awaiting the deeper you go into the House. The gear system is also guaranteed to be present to “help” you.
Codename CONDOR itself is currently planned to be released for Playstation 5, Xbox Series and PC in the format as a paid game and not free to play. It is claimed that the initial offering price will be affordable considering that Remedy plans to achieve long-term consistent income through updates, expansion and the possibility of microtransactions. What do you think? Sound like an interesting project?
