The animated series Scott Pilgrim is succeeding on Netflix and that is why there is interest in knowing what plans the creators have.
Scott Pilgrim Takes the Leap, the new animated installment of this popular comic by Bryan Lee O’Malley, recently landed on Netflix, leaving fans wanting more adventures. This version, produced by renowned anime studio Science Saru, offers a fresh take on the beloved characters and their universe.
In a chat with ComicBook, Bryan Lee O’Malley, the original creator revealed: “I like to take the universe as it comes, so I don’t have any specific plans. In fact, that’s why we put a musical on the show, because a lot of people joked with us: Well, where’s the musical? It was fun to do a children’s version of a musical. Where is the theme park? Where is the massively multiplayer online role-playing game? Don’t know! Maybe they are all yet to come. “I have no ambition to build an empire.”
While BenDavid Grabinski, the showrunner, said: “If we ever build an empire, it will be by accident.”
What is it about?
Scott Pilgrim takes the leap, taking an unexpected turn by showing an alternate story in which Scott loses his battle with Matthew Patel. This twist not only adds intrigue but also expands the universe in unexpected ways. Although a second season is not yet confirmed, the first season concludes with a post-credits scene that hints at possible future developments.
