Suara.com – The Gerindra Party is focusing more on West Java Province. They are targeting a big victory for Prabowo-Gibran in the region that has given Prabowo victory in two presidential elections, 2014 and 2019.
Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani said that in the 2014 presidential election Prabowo won 59.6 percent in West Java. Meanwhile, in the 2019 presidential election, Prabowo’s victory in West Java reached 59.9 percent.
“Because of that, we are paying great attention and attention to this province so that Pak Prabowo’s victory that we achieved in the last presidential election can be added to,” said Muzani after the Gerindra West Java consolidation event at the Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta, Monday (20/11 /2023).
Muzani admitted that even though Prabowo won twice in West Java, the terrain and fields in the province were not easy.
“So we need to work together and we need to have synergy in the field,” said Muzani.
Meanwhile, Aries Marsudiyanto, who has just been appointed as Chair of the West Java Gerindra Election Winning Body (Bappilu), conveyed Prabowo-Gibran’s target of victory in the province.
“Yes, at least 65 percent, that’s it. We are also optimistic, because our party machine is strong enough, our volunteers are strong enough, the survey results are quite good in West Java, hopefully this can be achieved,” said Aries.
Aries said that his party would coordinate with all Gerindea DPCs throughout West Java in order to win Prabowo-Gibran.
“And we have also prepared strategic plans to get to the bottom so that it can be accepted by the public. But technically later,” said Aries.
For One Round
The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) is aiming for a landslide victory in West Java Province in order to achieve the presidential election in just one round.
One of the strategies used to achieve this target is to place Ridwan Kamil as Chair of the Regional Campaign Team (TKD) in West Java.
TKN Secretary Prabowo-Gibran said that West Java would be the most crucial region in the 2024 presidential election. Considering that West Java has the largest number of voters.
He said that West Java had become a voting ground for Prabowo in two presidential elections, namely in the 2014 presidential election when Prabowo was paired with Hatta Rajasa and in the 2019 presidential election when he was paired with Sandiaga Uno.
“Pak Prabowo always wins the presidential election in West Java against Pak Jokowi. This time with the strength of reconciliation between Prabowo and Jokowi, we hope that West Java will be the key to Pak Prabowo’s victory,” said Nusron at the Prabowo-Gibran Joint Volunteer Secretariat office in Slipi, West Jakarta , Friday (17/11).
TKN Prabowo-Gibran is confident that they can win one round with a landslide victory in West Java.
“We are sure that if Pak Prabowo and Gibran win by a landslide in West Java, we are sure, God willing, the election will be held in just one round with a landslide win in West Java,” said Nusron.
In order to achieve a landslide victory in West Java, TKN Prabowo-Gibran does not want to carelessly look for a TKD chairman for this region.
“Because of that, the figure of the West Java TKD chairman is very urgent, very important, and must have a large capacity. With various considerations, we decided that the West Java TKD chairman is Ridwan Kamil,” said Nusron.
Ridwan Kamil, who has a track record as governor of West Java and mayor of Bandung, is believed to have extraordinary achievements so that he can be accepted at all levels of society in West Java.
“And we are confident and very optimistic that West Java Province will be the place and home of Prabowo-Gibran’s victory,” said Nusron.
Appoint Three TKD Chairmen
The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) appointed heads of regional campaign teams for three provinces, including South Sumatra Province, Banten Province and West Java Province, Friday (17/11).
Secretary of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Nusron Wahid, said that TKD Prabowo-Gibran South Sumatra will be chaired by Mawardi Yahya.
Mawardi is Deputy Governor of South Sumatra for the 2018-2023 period. He was also regent of Ogan Hilir for two terms in 2005-2010 and 2010-2015.
Based on Mawardi’s track record, TKN Prabowo-Gibran is confident that Mawardi can maintain Prabowo-Gibran’s hopes of victory in South Sumatra.
Meanwhile, for Banten Province, TKN Prabowo-Gibran appointed Golkar Party politician, Airin Rachmi Diany. Airin is known to be the former Mayor of South Tangerang.
Nusron hopes that Airin’s appointment can maintain Prabowo’s vote bank in Banten. Airin is also expected to attract the interest of female voters to support Prabowo-Gibran.
Moving on to West Java Province, Nusron said that the Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran TKD in the province would be led by the former governor, namely Ridwan Kamil. Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil is known to now serve as Deputy Deputy Commissioner of the Golkar Party.
Kang Emil is trusted to lead the Prabowo-Gibran TKN in West Java because he has great influence in the province. In this way, it is hoped that Prabowo’s vote in West Java will survive, considering that this province was a source of votes for Prabowo in two presidential elections, 2014 and 2019.
