Enschede lawyer Hans Speijdel has been suspended indefinitely. There is serious dysfunction on the part of the lawyer, says the Discipline Council. Over the years, many complaints about Speijdel have been submitted to his office, the court, the Public Prosecution Service and the Legal Aid Board. According to the Council, the interests of Speijdel’s clients have been seriously damaged.
