Hero, massive cuts in the jam department: 50 layoffs in Switzerland
Another Swiss icon is faltering: the Hero food group, operating in the jam packaging sectorstands for lay off 50 employees in the establishment of Lenzburg (AG). The confirmation comes from the Aargau cantonal department of economics and interior.

The cantonal government was informed of the collective dismissal, the department told Keystone-Ats. According to what was stated by the Aargauer Zeitung, Lenzburg will remain the global headquarters of the multinational and that of the Swiss entity of the group.
The first factory, known above all for its jams but also for the typical (and derided, at least in Ticino) canned ravioli, it was founded in Lenzburg in 1886. Today the group has a workforce of 4,000 employees.
