The words of the Italian after the Aragon GP
September 24, 2023
How unfortunate
“I was having perhaps my best race since I started racing in Superbike, but I had to stop due to an oil leak. There were only a few laps to go, but I couldn’t do anything except go back to the garage. Bad luck. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad. The team always works hard and well, and so I can only thank them and everyone at Yamaha. These things happen”
A summary of this weekend
“All in all it was a good weekend in which we showed our potential and we must be proud of what we did especially in race 2. I learned a lot in this round of Aragon. I’m not saying I changed my riding style, but we certainly tried to set up the bike differently than usual. After the Superpole race we changed the set-up and this allowed me to be faster and find a good feeling with my R1. In Portimao I hope to start again from where we stopped here in Aragon, to be able to achieve the result that eluded us today”
