Garcia hopes to recover the defender for the Champions League match against Real Madrid on October 3rd. Ostigard will replace him against Bologna
The confirmation of a muscle injury arrived promptly for Amir Rrahmani, who today carried out some tests to define the extent of the problem. The tests highlighted “a low-grade lesion of the semimembranosus muscle of the left thigh” as reported by an official press release released by Napoli, at the end of the morning training session at Castel Volturno. Rudi Garcia hopes to recover it for the Champions League match against Real Madrid on October 3rd; in general recovery times are between seven and fourteen days.
The player was injured a few minutes into the match against Braga and was replaced by Ostigard. In all likelihood, it will be the Norwegian who will take his place for Sunday’s match against Bologna, alongside Juan Jesus, with Natan expected to start again from the bench. No injury however for Cajuste, who together with Gollini carried out personalized work. Both could return to the coach’s disposal for the match at Dall’Ara or at most for the following midweek round, which will see Napoli playing Udinese.
