One of the rioters who was involved in the riots surrounding the FC Twente – Hammarby match at the end of July has been fined 2,500 euros by the municipality of Enschede. The man also made a mistake in the Enschede stadium in January and must therefore now pay the amount. Enschede wants to use the fine to put a stop to the disturbances surrounding football matches. “Football must become a family celebration again,” says Mayor Bleker.
