Pnrr, Fitto: “Payment of the 4th installment requested, 16.5 billion euros arriving”
It was presented today at European Commission the request for payment of the fourth installment of Pnrr, relating to the achievement of the 28 objectives set. “The payment request presented today by the Government is the result of fruitful work carried out in full harmony with the European Commission which on 28 July 2023 approved the proposal to modify 10 objectives and add the milestone relating to beds for students university”, explains the Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies, and the Pnrr Raffaele Fitto.

“The revision of the objectives was definitively approved by the General Affairs Council of European Union on September 19th,” he continues. “The objectives that the government believes have been achieved and which will now be subject to verification by the Commission in order to reach payment, concern important reforms such as the justiceil public contracts codethe public administrationthe reduction of payment times of public administration, the law for non-self-sufficient people as well as simplifications for hydrogen diffusion”.
“The objectives”, we read further, “in terms of investments concern the testing of hydrogen in the road and railway sector, the awarding of contracts for the sports project and social inclusionThe I am natural, the installation of electric charging stationsil renewal of the regional railway parkand with trains powered by clean fuels, satellite technology, Cinecittà, digitalisation, women’s businesseshydrogen production in brownfield sites e investments to fight educational poverty in the Southas well as interventions for the increase in beds for university students”.

“The disbursement of the amount due, equal to 16.5 billion euros, will take place by the Commission in the coming months, at the end of the planned evaluation process, in line with what has already been done with previous payment requests”, concludes the Minister.
