PURWOKERTO.SUARA.COM, KEBUMEN – Kebumen Regent Arif Sugiyanto handed over compassion to the victim of a rollover truck accident on the Logending – Kalipoh incline, Ayah District, at the Argosari Village Hall, Ayah District, on Friday 22 September 2023.
The Regent handed over assistance in the form of money to settle medical costs at the hospital sourced from BAZNAS Kebumen, as well as basic food assistance from the Social Services, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Kebumen for 47 victims.
“Today, thank God, we were able to meet the victims of the truck accident on the slope, Kalipoh, Dad. We gave them basic necessities and money for hospital treatment costs, hopefully this can lighten their burden,” said the Regent.
Apart from that, his party will also provide assistance of Rp. 25 million rupiah for joint prayer costs to pray for victims who will die on the 40th day.

“The Rp. 25 million will be used for a joint prayer event on the 40th day,” he said.
The Regent hopes that with this assistance, the survivors can recover quickly. In the future, the district government plans to carry out improvements to road infrastructure in the form of widening roads and adding street lighting so that accidents do not happen again.
The Regent also expressed his thanks to all parties who had quickly handled the victims of the rollover truck accident.
“Hopefully everyone who helped in handling this accident will be blessed,” he continued.
Meanwhile, the Head of Argosari Village, Ayah Jais, on behalf of the residents expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided. He hopes that this assistance can help ease the burden on the victims in Argosari village.

It is previously known that there had been a case of an accident involving a truck carrying people rolling over which caused 5 people to die in Ayah Village/District, Kebumen Regency, at around 19.30 WIB, on Wednesday 30 August 2023.
The unfortunate accident happened to a pickup truck carrying a group of Argosari Village residents, driven by the initials KH (37), a resident of Argosari Village, Ayah District.
The accident occurred after returning from visiting the wife of the Head of Argosari Village who was being treated at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong.
While in the middle of the journey, precisely at the incline on Jalan Logending-Kalipoh entering Dad’s Village/District, the truck with a full load of passengers stopped unable to climb uphill.
Then the truck could not be controlled by the driver so it went backwards and rolled into a ravine.
