Pikmin continues its overwhelming dominance in Japan. The list of the best-selling weekly games has already been published and the saga is once again sweeping, just like Nintendo Switch.
Pikmin 4 has been one of the most successful games of 2023 in Japan and it proves it week after week with the list of best-selling games. However, now the title loses the throne because of… Pikmin 1+ 2!
The compilation with The first two legendary installments of the saga have arrived in physical format in Japan (despite already being available in digital format) and has become the most popular game of the week in the Asian country.
Total, Both deliveries total more than 40,000 units sold according to Famitsu data (via Gematsu) and are positioned well ahead of another of the recent notable releases, Lies of P for PS5which is established in third place with more than 9,000 copies sold.

As you see, Nintendo Switch domina both in catalog of games sold and in number of consoles. Although PS5 recovers distances compared to the OLED model, the sum of all Nintendo Switches almost doubles the Sony console.
