SUV coupes are in, just ask BMW. They are virtually responsible for the commercialization of that body shape – and decide for yourself whether you think that is a positive thing or not. They did that at the time with the X6 and in the meantime they also had an X4 and an X2, although the latter was a bit of a cheat. While the X4 was clearly an X3 with a more sloping roofline and the X6 did the same with the X5, the

BMW has shared the first teaser about the X2 on its social media, and it will have a thoroughly redesigned silhouette. The model appears a lot longer than before and the rear roofline also drops down considerably more steeply. This then culminates in a tasteful spoiler, so yes: the sporty touch is there. From the front view we would swear we are looking at an immediately the most striking feature in the otherwise dark images.
For the time being, however, it remains with those dark images, so for more information we have to rely on the latest gossip. It is circulating that the X2 would get an electric version for the first time, which does not sound very surprising since the model looks closely related to the X1 at first glance. So count on an iX2 with the genes of the iX1, while the rest of the engine range will probably also join its higher brother. It is not yet known when we may know more details about it.
