As promised, today Netlix held its DROP 01 virtual event, focused on animations it has in development. Among them was the new Tomb Raider animated project, which already has an official name and was presented with a trailer.
The event was full of previews, but one of the ones that caught the most attention was Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, the name of the animation of the explorer franchise and treasure hunter that Netflix announced in January 2021.
Fans had had to be very patient, since in almost 3 years not many details had been offered about it beyond the fact that the series would show the beginnings and rise of Lara Croft and that it would seek to unify the past and present of the character.

When will Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft be released?
Well, the project that is in charge of the production company Legendary Television and the animation studio Powerhouse Animation took advantage of the Netflix event to present its first trailer, which shows a little of the style that the animation will have.

The trailer, however, does not include any dialogue, but only labored breathing or gasping apparently from Lara Croft, so they should be from Haylee Atwell, the actress responsible for voicing the archaeologist.
