Today, Netflix gives us a First glance to the series, titled Netflix announces Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.
Netflix announced in 2021 that it was in the process of developing an animated Tomb Raider series starring the iconic character Lara Croft. Shortly after, they revealed that Hayley Atwell, recognized for her role in Mission: Impossible: Reckoning and as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, would be in charge of voicing Lara Croft in the series.
Although a release date has not yet been announced, Netflix assures that the series will soon arrive on its subscription streaming platform.
This Lara Croft adaptation appears to follow Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider reboot trilogy, which concluded with Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018. When Netflix announced Atwell’s role in the show in 2021, they confirmed that the series would take place after the events of that trilogy. However, looking at this development, it is difficult to determine whether that is true or not. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to find out, as Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is expected to arrive on Netflix soon.
