Mortal Kombat 1 at NetherRealm Studios is finally available and garnered critical acclaim on Xbox Series X/S e PS5. The PC version has its share of issues, but they’re overshadowed by the terrible Nintendo Switch version. In addition to the poor performance, fans criticized the low quality of the graphics and character models.
Director and series creator Ed Boon addressed the issue on BBC Newsbeat and confirmed that the Switch version will “absolutely get an update.” He also promised that recent issues and concerns will be addressed, but gave no details or an arrival time. One of these issues is the lack of content in Invasion mode. Only the introduction is available, while the rest of the seasonal content will be released in the coming weeks.
Boon said:
It would have been ideal for us to release the version we absolutely wanted. But any problem you encounter is on our list and will be resolved. It will be supported as we did with Mortal Kombat 11. Anything that we see as unacceptable will absolutely be addressed.
Shiver Entertainment, who also worked on Mortal Kombat 11, and Saber Interactive handled the porting for Nintendo Switch. QLOC developed the PC port, while NetherRealm focused on the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions.
Stay tuned for further updates in the coming weeks.
