The next Marvel Studios movie is going to have an exorbitant budget. It is practically impossible to believe this level of investment.
Marvel has skyrocketed the budget for its next movie. According to information published by Forbes, the studio chaired by Kevin Feige has invested $275 million in the production of The Marvels. This figure represents a significant increase over the budget of the previous film in Brie Larson’s franchise, which was $175 million. We are talking about 100 million difference. That is truly crazy and something completely unexpected by the fans.
‘THE MARVELS’ actually has a budget of $274.8M.
However $55M of that budget was a subsidy from the U.K. meaning they only spent $219.8M.

There are several reasons why the The Marvels budget has increased so much. First of all, the film is a continuation of Captain Marvel and WandaVision, two of the MCU’s most successful films and television series to date. On the other hand, the film introduces a large number of characters new to cinema, such as Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau. And thirdly, the movie was filmed in several different locations, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Morocco.
Is it the most expensive movie in MCU history?
Of the $275 million budget for The Marvels, $55 million was a subsidy from the United Kingdom. This means that The actual cost of producing the Marvel Studios film was $219.8 million.. The total cost of The Marvels will be greater than the production cost, since marketing and advertising must be added. It is estimated that the total cost of the film will exceed 300 million.
The Marvels is not Marvel Studios’ most expensive movie. The record is held by Avengers: Endgame, which had a budget of $356 million. However, The Marvels is the most expensive film in Phase 4 of the MCU. The increase in The Marvels’ budget is a reflection of the increasing production cost of superhero movies. Superhero movies are becoming more complex and require great special effects. This represents a significant increase in the cost of production.
