Captain America and Spider-Man join forces to face major Marvel villains.
In an exciting turn of events, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man pays Steve Rogers a visit in Marvel’s Captain America #2. The series, written by J. Michael Straczynski and with impressive illustrations by Jesús Saiz, promises to be very intense.
In the debut issue of the series, Steve Rogers, Captain America, encounters personal difficulties when his apartment building faces condemnation after the events of the Marvel comic titled Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty 8. Rogers embarks on the task of carrying out the necessary renovations yourself. After an encounter with the Fantastic Four to defeat Psycho Man, a weary Captain America attempts to foil a robbery and finds himself on the verge of being seriously injured before receiving the attention of contractor Seung Kim. Rogers then seeks Kim’s help to repair his apartment, and the story reveals details of his youth as an orphan, providing insight into his current motivations.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world, Lord of Chaos Asmoday meets with Arianna Walters of AIM, and together they hatch a plot that threatens to dominate the world for the next thousand years, beginning their search for a base of operations.
