The coach of the Indonesian U-24 National Team, Indra Sjafri, ensured that his team were ready to face Uzbekistan in the round of 16 of the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, which will be played at the Shangcheng Sport Center Stadium, Thursday (28/9) at 15.30 WIB.
This readiness, according to Indra, apart from the arrival of Ramadhan Sananta’s new ammunition in the striker position, his team has also made thorough preparations such as tactics and even a penalty shootout if the score is equal in normal time.
“Thank God (the team) is fit, no one was injured. Sananta was also present, he had already practiced together once. They all practiced happily, and we deliberately only practiced for an hour and did not provide high intensity. “We have anticipated everything, penalties, tactical and others,” said Indra as published by Antara, Wednesday (27/9).
Talking about how far his team has gone in the 2022 Asian Games after qualifying for the top 16, Indra is reluctant to say much because he sees Garuda Muda’s progress in stages.

“Step by step. “Now focus on the last 16 match, after that,” said the 60-year-old tactician.
It is believed that the Indonesian national team will play defensively against Uzbekistan, considering that in terms of quality, it must be admitted that their opponent is superior.
On the same occasion, high motivation enveloped the Indonesian national team players at the 19th biggest sporting event in Asia.
This was said by goalkeeper Ernando Ari who said his team was determined to make history again, as happened at the 2022 SEA Games in Cambodia last May, where in the hands of the same coach, Indra Sjafri, they won a gold medal after waiting 32 years.
“Our preparations have been focused training. Be enthusiastic because this is an important match, we will try our best too. Earlier, my friends were also committed to making history. “God willing, we can get another medal,” said Ernando.
