With the official presentation which took place at the Cologne show in October 2022, Honda revealed the engine that equips it together with the renewed Hornet. A 755 cc parallel twin-cylinder, compact and with a clean layout, Euro5 approved and capable of delivering 92 HP at 9,500 rpm. and a maximum torque of 75 Nm at 7,250 rpm.
The new project was also born on this same unit transalp, unveiled in absolute preview at the last Eicma. That there is no two without three? The company logic suggests this, also due to the relative simplicity in giving life to this motorbike. The technical base and engine could remain identical to those of the Hornet, differing only in the fairing, fairings and lower handlebars. Other small changes could arrive in the suspension sector, with less travel and a more substantial calibration of the fork and mono, in addition to the possible adoption of a larger section tire at the rear.
Furthermore, it could present itself as a valid competitor, in terms of performance, price and market segment Aprilia RS660at the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and to Yamaha R7.
