Motorcycles like this are always talked about in terms of refinement, exclusivity and of… speed in disappearing from the price lists because these limited editions literally sell like hotcakes: if the first Brabus 1300 R (a total of 154 examples) of 2022 had been sold out in 2 (two, you read correctly) minutes, for the Brabus 1300 R Edition 2023 it had taken – please understand the irony – a few hours to find a place for the 290 examples available at the price of 42,500 euros. In reality, these are motorcycles that are extremely capable of appealing to enthusiasts and collectors who, as can be seen, are not lacking.
Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition
After this success, now comes another special version branded Brabus and created on the basis of the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO, the Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Editionbuilt in 50 copies equally distributed between the “Onyx Black” and “Diamond White” liveries.
What changes compared to the 2023 model? The new 1300 R boasts an even more extensive carbon package, which includes the racing-inspired fins fixed on the side shrouds, the single-sided swingarm cover, the triangular panels on the frame under the tank and the seat, and the alternator cover cover, but the forged wheels are also notable Brabus Monoblock Z with polished sections, decorative rings around the two silencers and the inevitable “1 OF 25” Badge of Excellence on the tank combined with the plate Brabus Masterpiece in the lumbar support behind the seat. The price is not for everyone and follows that of the 2023 version: 42,500 euros, for a motorbike that can already be ordered from KTM dealers.
Consistent with the KTM lineage, the Brabus Masterpiece Edition boasts a trellis frame painted in matte black and is powered by a twin-cylinder KTM LC8 1.3 liter engine which delivers a maximum power of 132 kW / 180 HP at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 140 Nm at 8,000 rpm: 100 km/h are reached in just 3.2 seconds and the speed declared maximum is 270 km/h.
The ones remain confirmed WP semi-active suspensions and the five engine maps manageable through the TFT instrumentation, in this case customized with Brabus graphics.
Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition: 50 examples at a staggering price
The 17″ Brabus Monoblock Z “GOLD PLATINUM” wheels with a 9-spoke design were developed specifically for these motorbikes and show off a gold-coloured finish with diamond-lapped sections and the same color scheme has been taken up in the contrasting elements in “Frozen Gold” such as the Brabus Masterpiece plates, the fins located on the side panels on the sides of the tankthe front and rear ‘Signature Stripe’ and the rings around the two silencers of the Brabus slip-on exhauston which the model name is also laser engraved and which promises a more aggressive exhaust tone than the standard one.
Depending on the chosen color variant, the tank, the tail shell and parts of the front fender are painted in “Onyx Black” or “Diamond White.” For both color variants, the BRABUS upholstery workshop took care of covering the single-seater saddle with black leather and then applying the “Diamond Rising” quilting, while we also find customizable footrests and adjustable brake and clutch levers.
Each of the 50 Masterpiece Editions is delivered with a set of exclusive accessories, which include a dedicated motorcycle cover and a coordinated carpet for parking in the garage or directly in the living room. The keys are delivered in an exclusive carbon box, which features the limited edition logo. To complete this unique package, each of the 50 buyers of this new model will have the opportunity to visit the Brabus Manufaktur headquarters in Bottrop, Germany: all that remains is to ask how long, this time, this exclusive special version will be sold out.
