The development team Remedy Entertainment confirmed that Alan Wake 2 will have an option “Performance Mode” available on PlayStaion 5 e Xbox Series X at the exit.
Remedy’s director of communications, Thomas Puhain fact recently confirmed the news in a tweet, stating that even if the game was designed from the ground up as a 30 FPS experience, it will however feature a “solid” Performance Mode option.
Puha wrote:
“I’m happy to announce that Alan Wake 2 will have a Performance Mode on PS5 and Xbox Series to include a solid Performance Mode”.
Puha says Remedy will “talk about the details later,” but when asked whether Performance Mode will run the game at a locked 60 FPS or an unlocked 60 frame rate, he responded that the development team is “still putting together point the matter.”
Specifically, Puha did not mention the Xbox Series S version of the game, so it remains to be seen what the game’s performance and resolution targets will be on Microsoft’s weaker console hardware
Alan Wake 2 will be released on October 27th on PS5, Xbox Series X/S e PC. Below are Puha’s tweets.
I’m glad to say that Alan Wake 2 will have a Performance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The game has been built from the beginning as a 30fps experience focusing on visuals and ambiance, but somehow we have managed to include a solid Performance mode. We’ll talk details later.
